COMPLETELY LOST IN THE SHUFFLE

Back on June 14, 2021 I committed to purchasing the new 2021 GC-L Summit Reserve. I had a 2014 GC Summit in rough shape and it had 99,845 miles on it. I said to myself, if I could just get just 10K, I would trade it in on the spot. They looked it over for about an hour and sure enough they offered me 13k on the spot. I stepped up and ordered everything I was looking for and asked for just about every option. I eventually ordered the WLJT75 model, 22U package. The Quadra-Lift was head and shoulders superior than my current model, and as a disabled person I was excited. In addition, the ability to drive at night with better clarity and see what was in my path and the superior luxury inside this GC-L for both my wife and I as well and anyone in our family that was along for a trip was outstanding. We knew we will all be able to get inside and drive comfortably. Wow, 7 inside the jeep- almost seemed to good to be true.

Over time checking in with my sales person, I was given the VIN# as well as the VON (Vehicle order number). I was confident that I was on my way after giving up my deposit and current Jeep to seeing our new vehicle with in a timely matter.

Overtime, while checking in the dealer, they said that they did not have any details other than what they gave me and advised I go to (https://fcacommunity.force.com/Jeep/s/knowledge) for better info. As most of us know the information was - Its in paint, soon, no info, check with your salesperson, we will expedite a more informed person to get back to you, we will have the dealer sales manager get back to you, and the last straw- it has not been built yet. I felt HOW CAN IT NOT BE BUILT IF I HAVE A VIN#? Yadda-yadda yadda. I dont think anyone has the integrity and knowledge of what it actually happening with my order! Is it a chip problem, is is a dealer issue, no one seems to know and they pass me in a circle to the next person who does not know anything specific

Thankfully I found this forum and received a lot of great information as well as some less than great info.

At this point it is almost October and feel I have been ghosted. Attached is what I was given from the Sales manager from the dealer and have no clue that I will ever see what I ordered.

I think if and when I actually get a custom GC that I have been waiting on, it actually may be worth more to someone else than what I am paying for it? will the price change from what is on the POC?

So, if anyone here is interested in this jeep, how would I go about selling it? At this point, I DO NOT FEEL Stelantis or Westbury Jeep is concerned about me. I have no vehicle and unable to get back my trade-in and in desperate need of transportation! Can anyone help me at this point here on this forum? My family and I would be grateful.

May I ask why they already have your trade-in? The standard order time is 8-10 weeks, so it seems like you should've been able to keep driving your current vehicle until the new one arrived. Your deposit obviously claims that vehicle for you whenever it does arrive and if I recall, once it hits paint, it's about 2-4 weeks from delivery. I didn't see it called out on the build sheet and it may just be a standard feature at that trim level, but I've been reading on this forum that many who have ordered the air-suspension have been finding that it's been removed for a small credit due to the chip shortage. Given your disability, the lack of the air suspension may be a dealbreaker you can use to get your deposit back and take your business elsewhere. They will have no problem turning around and selling that unit once it does arrive.

I'm sorry this has happened to you and your family. Ordering a brand new vehicle is supposed to be exciting, not stress-inducing... best of luck to you and keep us in the loop with what happens.

Thank you. To answer your question, I was offered 13k for being under 100k. It has been stressful and the lack of honest answers has left me completely not feeling comfortable moving forward if and when I do get a response from my dealer. I hope that if we decide to take the jeep, we can drive over to the closest AUDI and see what they will offer us for it as a trade in
