Any idea when I can buy a JGCL with the Hurricane engine?

2024 MY most likely the earliest availability. It will be the lower output 425hp variant. Everything that currently uses the V8 will be getting it sooner than later. No idea which vehicles will get it first. Jeep might use the 525hp version with a performance variant of the WL.

Well, I see why Jake is laughing; The V8 is gone from the US configurator tonight for the 3 row, and was gone from the 2 row a week or so ago. And they announced Hurricane crate motors from Dodge yesterday... maybe the snails are near. Surprising there hasn't been any spy photos or any of that type of news, but it's not like they have to camo the vehicles to test the engines I suppose. Usually someone catches them running around with testing equipment all over the inside, but maybe they're nearly ready 🤷‍♂️

Following this thread. I am very interetested in the JGCL with the Hipo Hurricane. But like everyone else, haven't heard a single thing about it coming.

Truly want an SRT with the 6.4 but since that's not gonna happen I'm at least crossing my fingers for a the 525hp Hurricane.

That's probably 2+ years away.

Right now the rumors are the SO version is still in testing in the WL, due hopefully at start of 2024 MY, and the HO version isn't slated until a year or more after that in a performance model. These are just guesses based on a blend of mildly credible rumors and their own statements.

The interviews with Jeep corporate people have basically alluded to or acknowledged that the SO version is 'in consideration' for a 'performance model' but they have shied away from calling it a 'Trackhawk' model. It seems likely there might be a sort of performance model between the SO and the level that the hellcat-powered vehicle achieved. Sort of an SRT, but not a Trackhawk. My wild guess, with the recent release of the crate motors, is that they will almost definitely offer the HO engine in a higher performance variant, and because an even higher powered variant is 4-5 years out, it's not even worth committing to given how much market conditions can change in that time as well.

They have the SO listed as a configuration on the Wagoneer (not sure if it's in production, although press cars are apparently on tour), and the HO version is in production on the Grand Wagoneer with deliveries already made.
