Wondering if this is a good deal or not.. Quoted a price of 62,289.00 with a 499.00 dealer processing fee and required finance through the dealer for a 22 GCL Overland with the Hemi, Baltic Gray exterior and steel gray interior with the Luxury Tech Group IV, Adv ProTech Group III, and Uconnect 5 Nav w 10.1" Display (USA) packages. MSRP is 68,075.00.

That sounds like it's around invoice. I agree with @cltsig50, great price in this market.

Just make sure to get it in writing and signed, and tell them when they do the repair order for the pre-delivery inspection to put down NO ACCESSORIES.

Everything is handled by email so I have everything in writing. I know there are ways around it but I think it's on the up and up. Do you mean by NO ACCESSORIES, do not do any dealer adds? If so, that has been addressed. If I am wrong, please explain. New to ordering new vehicles.

Hope to tell you that is not the case. So far so good. Dealer just requires a 1k nonrefundable deposit to be used as down payment and financing through them. Add 1% if you don't finance through the dealer.

Correct, no dealer add ons. But the key here is to make sure they put "NO ACCESSORIES" on the RO for the PDI, because many dealerships do this as standard practice for all vehicles they receive.

“If you use theirs financing” Beware of that for many have extreme rates on their financing and as well know, They make money on the financing.
And they wont share the rate till your signing and now you are locked into the deal!

Not an issue. Take whatever financing incentives you can get and turn around and refinance with your local bank/credit union.

I bought my Limited for $2k under MSRP. It took 3 dealerships to find one who didn’t try to add a market adjustment or charges for nitrogen tires, useless etching etc. You need a signed offer sheet/bill of sale before even thinking about booking a flight.

The next to last dealer I went to which is my local dealer advertised my same truck for $3k under online, but when I drove there, there was $5,000 addendum that took it from MSRP to $57k. I begged them to sell me the truck at the advertised price, but they wouldn’t tell me the price until they saw how “qualified” of a buyer I am.

I left and bought my Jeep at the next dealership.

Negotiate a cash price, and then ask if that changes with any of their financing options. If you finance, make sure there's NO prepayment penalty. Also, the dealer 'processing charges' can be all over the map. ($100 to $1k+)

I bought my V8 Overland 4x4, loaded (except unavailable off road group pkg) for MSRP, paid cash, and the 'dealer fee' as only $130. It was the only loaded V8 Overland 4x4 in the country, on the ground, at the time. No other shenanigans, nice honest small town dealer. You never know what you're going to get though. I always negotiate the price on the phone, demand a contract in exchange for a $500 credit card (AmEx) deposit. They can't change anything when you walk in to buy at that point (I flew from WY to AR to get mine).

I also requested they don't put on any dealership badging especially decals. They do put decals on and I asked for them not to and signed they would do that. I told them I was alright with license plates brackets with their name on it. I would advertise for them.. LOL

Is it Gupton Motors? Don't listen to all those saying it's a trap, there are plenty of dealers doing deals.
There are some dealers doing deals, and there are some ethical/good dealers, but anyone who hasn't played the dealer game should definitely go in with their eyes wide open. Knowing what the bad ones do is also how you know (and should put value on) a good dealer.

As for removing decals, buy plastic razor blades. Used properly, they won't scratch, and relatively newly applied stickers come off prety easily. They're also nice for removing chunks of tree sap from paint, and other random household things.

Is there a problem with requesting they don't put a decal on the vehicle? Why not get it without it then to have t scrape it off?

??? I wasn’t implying that. Just providing some tips for how to remove things if necessary. Same tools you use for debadging for the most part. Is there a problem with providing that information?

In most cases the dealer puts the badges on as soon as it rolls off the truck, so I’d rather take them off myself than have some halfwit accidentally create scratches.

My sincere apologies if the mere suggestion was offensive. 🤦‍♂️
