I'm not sure how to make this visible to everyone but I posted my initial non-working radio experience earlier. Heres what happened after several failed attempts to fix the issue (amps, wiring, updates, etc)
2021 Grand Cherokee L Limited (purchased on 10/27/21)
- Initial issue were intermittent no radio function. Re-set would usually do the trick
- Total time at dealership = 28 days
- Ultimate fix = new radio from STAR (took 10 days to arrive)
- FCA reimbursed me for car payment & car rentals
- In California if vehicle is at dealer for 30 days they must buy it back and reimburse you for everything (down payments, car payments, etc) - can't help but think this is why they came through in 28 days
- Dealer service department said the know it's an issue but have to follow every instruction given to them by STAR to warranty the radio unit. This involves all kinds of trouble shooting
I've had the car back for 5 days and so far so good BUT we did lose out on the 1 year Sirius trial (new radio ID and the VIN has already been used). Not a big deal, at this point I just want the issues resolved. BTW I also own a 2020 Grand Cherokee with ZERO issues to date.
Good luck everyone...I feel your pain!!!
